Quick Note

I have discovered that the best place to get work done is, shockingly, not at my home. I get nothing done. OK, I should write admitted rather than discovered. Have others discovered this as well, or did you figure out a way to do it? Want to share with me? I have waaay more productivity when I work either in my classroom at night (nobody to distract me) or at a local coffeehouse where the white noise gets me into this Zen Zone. Where do you work best, do you think?

Off to practice--we have States this weekend and we have to get ready! Enjoy the day.

Yes! I also can't get anything done when I study at home. I just end up taking a nap or doing the dishes, etc. Coffee shops are my favorite place to study. Now I know the hours of operation, lighting situation, best chairs, number of power outlets... of all the coffee shops in Boulder! ~Alice

Coffee shop, white noise, for sure. I did that all throughout grad school and still do it pretty often when I have copy editing. It can get expensive, depending on what you drink, by the husband and I always thought it was worth it because it was the only way for me to be productive. When home, it's way too easy to get sucked into cleaning. Good luck this weekend!
